Welcome to my San Francisco based Neuropsychology practice! My name is Patti Weiss, and I'm a neuropsychologist—a licensed Clinical Psychologist with additional, specialized training in brain function and common conditions that can affect it, like ADHD, ADD, learning differences, brain injuries, and more. I work with children, teens and adults using a multitude of assessment measures known as neuroeducational or neuropsychological assessments to determine the exact and correct diagnosis for the client. I score these measures and create a detailed report for the client which contains recommendations, including accommodations for school (or work) to help the client perform at the very peak of their intellect and ability. For no extra fee, I help the client fill out their Claim Application for insurance.

My office
is lovely with a working fireplace, and mahogany bookshelves, and a mini fridge, with yummy organic juices and water for the teens and children.

Although I am based in San Francisco, I do travel to LA and New York several times a year to administer testing.

I am also connected to the
St. Mary's Medical Center Medical Staff, Adolescent Inpatient Unit.

*Pandemic Related Anxiety for Students*

A new measure released on March 18th, 2021, the PASS-12 is a screen for Pandemic Related Anxiety for Students, ages 8-16 who are attending, or re-entering in-person school. The screening asks parents to rate the severity of symptoms of atypical fears specific to the pandemic and the quarantine(s). Dr. Weiss was been specifically chosen to administer this test. Please contact us for more information.

COVID-19 VACCINATION

For the safety of myself and my clients, I have been fully vaccinated and double boosted. I look forward to meeting with you in-office soon.

Why would I go to a Neuropsychologist?
What does a Neuropsychologist treat?
Can I Neuropsychologist diagnosis ADD and ADHD?

Should I go see a Neuropsychologist for autism assistance?

An individual would go to a Neuropsychologist to determine a diagnosis.
My main speciality is children and teens and young adults with learning challenges who may not be working up to their full potential. I meet with them two to three sessions. During these sessions, I figure out what is the roadblock in the way of their academic success and then determine what accommodations would help at school, on school tests and on standardized tests. We then have a meeting of feedback, first with the family and then with the family and the school. Possible diagnoses can range from dyslexia to a receptive auditory processing deficit to ADD/ADHD to anxiety to dyscalculia and many more possible diagnoses. I also work with children and teens who may be on the autism spectrum.

I also work with individuals  who have been in a car accident or had a concussion in an injury and need determine if they have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and/or Post Concussive Syndrome. This helps their court case for damages. I also recommend what type of therapy and rehab would be most helpful. This us known as forensic Neuropsychology and is another specility of mine.
